Boxer Graffiti "Love" Statue

When I first started raising money for rescues, it was with these painted large resin boxer statues I found at Hobby Lobby. I remember the first one I auctioned raised $250 and I was so excited back in 2014. Now I get disappointed if an item raises less than $1500. It's awesome to see how much we've been able to grow since then.

This is one of the first original statues. It has been sitting in my display case the last decade. It is time for it to find a home where it will continue to be appreciated.

The figure stands 12 inches tall and is made of resin. It is meant for display purposes. Painted in a graffiti street art style with the word love tagged across the chest.

If you're wondering why I am selling it and not auctioning it for rescue, in an ongoing effort to take care of my son's autism needs, I have chosen to sell this particular piece. As always I will continue to help rescue fundraise. Just with other items.

I paint these boxer figures in wild, vibrant colors because that is exactly what a boxer is....a funny goofball, bursting with love and full of personality...a breed like no other. Each boxer figure is totally unique. And these figures fund my art donations to rescues throughout the year to help fundraise. So while the figure may be in memory of one boxer, it can help even more.

When I am not painting or creating, I am coaching my girls youth lacrosse team or hiking with my two boxers (also known as 'management'). They inspire me and bring me happiness everyday, so 5149 & 1/2 art tries to give back to boxer rescues as often as possible. Whether it be donating from sales in the shop, gifting art to generous donors and volunteers, or creating artwork that can be auctioned off or used for fundraising.
