Cherry Blossoms Return— Hand-Painted Art High-Top Canvas Shoes

Thirteen years ago, I sold my very first painting — Cherry Blossoms — to a coworker. I priced it absurdly high, secretly hoping she'd walk away and let me keep it a little longer. She didn't blink. She bought it, and I remember feeling like I'd sold off a piece of myself. It took me a while to see that moment differently.

That painting didn't leave me — it went out into the world and kept blooming somewhere else. The loss I felt turned into a feeling of spreading joy, and my calling.

This design is my return to that same subject, thirteen years later: soft washes of pink, magenta, and turquoise with loose white blossoms caught mid-fall, now wrapped around a pair of high-top canvas shoes. This one leaves without the fear about what happens after it walks out the door.
