Custom Hand-Painted Dog Portrait on Matchbook

A tiny canvas, a whole lot of heart. Send over a photo of your dog after your purchase, and I'll hand-paint a miniature portrait of them right onto a vintage-style matchbook — a small, unexpected surface that turns into a striking little piece of art. The finished matchbook is mounted on black paper, creating a bold, gallery-ready backdrop that makes the portrait pop.

Pairs beautifully with a raised (non-flat) matte, which holds the glass away from the artwork so nothing gets flattened or smooshed against it — giving the piece a bit of dimension and a more polished, gallery finish once framed.

It's a unique way to keep your best friend close — whether it's living on a shelf, hanging in a hallway gallery wall, or gifted to someone who adores their dog as much as you do.

Please note: this piece is made to order and hand-painted individually, so please allow time for your dog's portrait to be created, and expect natural, one-of-a-kind variation from piece to piece. Turn around time on customs is about 2-4 weeks. If you need recommendations on frames, please feel free to ask.

♥ About ACP ♥
I paint boxer figures in wild, vibrant colors because that is exactly what a boxer is....a funny goofball, bursting with love and full of personality...a breed like no other. Each boxer figure is totally unique. And these figures fund my art donations to rescues throughout the year to help fundraise. So while the figure may be in memory of one boxer, it can help even more.

When I am not painting or creating, I am coaching my girls youth lacrosse team or hiking with my two boxers (also known as 'management'). They inspire me and bring me happiness everyday, so 5149 & 1/2 art tries to give back to boxer rescues as often as possible. Whether it be donating from sales in the shop, gifting art to generous donors and volunteers, or creating artwork that can be auctioned off or used for fundraising.

All items are handmade by yours truly within my studio in Gilroy, CA.
